Over the next few days, Lily put up "Found Kitten" posters around the neighborhood. A week later, a little boy named Tim came to her door, tears of joy in his eyes. It was his lost cat, Whiskers! Although sad to see Misty go, Lily was happy she could help. Tim was so grateful that he invited Lily to play with Whiskers every weekend. A lost kitten brought two new friends together.

短文 B: The Magic Library
Leo loved reading more than anything. One Saturday, he discovered a small, old library he had never noticed before. The sign said "The Wandering Pages". Inside, the librarian, Mr. Finn, had a twinkle in his eye. "Every book here has a story, and some stories haven't finished yet," he said mysteriously. He handed Leo a book titled "The Unfinished Bridge". As Leo read the final page, it was blank except for a sentence: "And then the builder remembered the missing piece was friendship." Suddenly, Leo felt a strange pull. When he looked up, he wasn't in the library anymore. He was standing in the story, near an unfinished bridge! A worried-looking builder stood there. Leo remembered the sentence. He told the builder about his argument with his helper and how they needed to work together. The builder listened, found his helper, and they apologized. As they shook hands, the final stone of the bridge magically appeared in place. Leo blinked and found himself back in the library, the book now complete with a new ending.
